Making Reusable Takeout Containers as Easy as Serving Disposables

Making Reusable Takeout Containers as Easy as Serving Disposables

Did you know a new Reusable Takeout Container Service is Coming to London? It's time to Reimagine Takeout!

Over the last year, takeout has become a restaurant staple. It’s been a great way to support local businesses throughout the pandemic, but at what cost? Normally, many of these restaurants would serve their food in house on reusable plates that are washed, and reused time and time again. Unfortunately, takeout containers are typically single-use only and result in an enormous amount of waste.

It doesn't have to be like this! There's a better way! We are partnering with A Friendlier Company (AFC), a startup which has a run a pilot reusable container program in Guelph and is now bringing this to London, starting in the next month or two!

Do you know any restaurants or other food businesses who would be interested in taking part in this program?

With AFC's model, businesses don't pay extra to be a part of the program and can actually save money, as well as benefitting from additional traffic generated by AFC's app and marketing efforts.

Alongside AFC and Green Economy London, we invite London businesses to join us for an exciting information session, where you can learn more about this program, and how your business can get involved!

Information Session Agenda:

A Friendlier Company's co-founders, Kayli Dale and Jacquie Hutchings, will be going over how their reusable takeout container service works and taking questions from attendees. You will also hear from and interact with a restaurant owner who is currently utilizing the reusable container service in Guelph! Heenal Rajani, co-founder of Reimagine Co, will also be speaking during the session to talk about how we are implementing the reusable takeout container service at our store!

When: Monday February 22nd, 2021 1 pm - 2 pm

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about how you can make your business more sustainable!

Reimagine Reopening Update

Reimagine Reopening Update

Lots of you have been asking when our store will reopen and when you’ll be able to refill your containers again. We've been in contact with the Health Unit and with the City and have developed a detailed plan to ensure customer safety when we reopen, without taking away from the experience of shopping at Reimagine.

However, following careful consideration, we have decided to remain online-only throughout June. This means that both our 211 King St location and our Western Fair District Market location will remain closed and will not reopen until July at the earliest.

Reimagine 2020 : Our next steps

Reimagine 2020 : Our next steps

It’s a new year and we are really excited about the possibility of moving into our own permanent location to grow into the force for good we imagine Reimagine Co can and will be. As with many worthy projects, the move has not been without hurdles and in fact we are still not certain we can secure the location we had dreamed of and told you about last month. While we are very hopeful and getting much closer to securing a deal, we aren’t there.....yet.

Buy Less. Repair More. We are skipping the Black Friday frenzy.

Buy Less. Repair More. We are skipping the Black Friday frenzy.

Black Friday typically encourages overspending and encourages a throwaway culture. A lot of items bought today will make their way back into landfills. We believe in recycling, repairing, and reusing what you can and only buying what you truly need.
