Here are a few things we do to minimize our environmental impact. We believe in buying local produce, and reducing food waste.
Looking for ways to get started on your zero waste kitchen? Here are our favourite simple swaps. We're in the kitchen everyday because we need to eat, what we don't need is bags worth of single use products being thrown away each day. Replacing all your single-use plastic or paper items with reusable items will not only save you money, but it'll make a big impact on the amount of landfill waste you produce.
We are open to service you and allow you to buy your zero waste products and produce. All our products/grocery items are vegan friendly! See our grocery selection so you have an idea of what containers to bring. We recommend bringing a variety of containers and bags into the store when you come, as well as larger reusable grocery bags to put everything into and carry home! This blog post will help you to know exactly what to bring in store!
Learn about our plans to serve our community and our planet in 2021 and beyond! In this post, we share what the 21 goals Reimagine has in store for this year.
It doesn't have to be like this! There's a better way! We are partnering with A Friendlier Company (AFC), a startup which has a run a pilot reusable container program in Guelph and is now bringing this to London, starting in the next month or two!
We are excited to announce that Reimagine Co's new package-free grocery store is now open at 206 Piccadilly Street! We are so thrilled to finally be open to the public and can't wait to see you.
Next week our founders, Kara Rijnen and Heenal Rajani, will be participating in two separate online events. We would like to invite you to join us at either or both of these fantastic one-hour events! Thank you so much for supporting us in our mission to share everything we know on sustainability so we can drive forward meaningful change together.
This directory really helped us when we starting out on our zero waste journey and didn’t know where to go! While some things have shifted a little due to COVID, many of these businesses are still endeavouring to minimize waste. Whether its second hand clothing stores, places where you can borrow instead of buy or food establishments that eschew single-use packaging, there are so many ways to reduce waste when you shop.
It’s a new year and we are really excited about the possibility of moving into our own permanent location to grow into the force for good we imagine Reimagine Co can and will be. As with many worthy projects, the move has not been without hurdles and in fact we are still not certain we can secure the location we had dreamed of and told you about last month. While we are very hopeful and getting much closer to securing a deal, we aren’t there.....yet.
Hopefully you all know by now that this Friday, November 29, is the Global Climate Strike. Across the world, millions of people will be walking out of their schools and workplaces, to send a message to global leaders that they must take urgent action now to prevent global ecological collapse.
