Our journey at Reimagine is one of constant evolution, and we're excited to take the next step. Soon we will be winding down our grocery operations and focussing on our prepared meal service.
What is changing:
- From now until we close for the last time on Saturday November 2nd, we’ll run down our inventory. Look out for offers both online and in-store.
- While the grocery store is ending, we know there are certain products some of you can’t live without! If you are interested in subscribing to your favourite Reimagine product and/or stocking up in bulk, please fill in this form to let us know.
- Our prepared meals will be available for pickup every Friday and Saturday.
What is staying the same:
- We’ll still offer our Weekly Meal Box with deliveries on Fridays, with individual meals available for walk-in customers on Fridays and Saturdays
- Our newly renovated community space will continue to host a wide range of events. See what’s on and learn how to rent the space.
- We look forward to continuing to cater events both in our space and off-site, as well as offering consulting, workshops, gift baskets, and bulk items for business clients
- The Thing Library, a lending service for tools, equipment, appliances and more, will continue to operate (with some modifications) and to grow.
- We’re excited that the Institute for Community Sustainability will continue to run Repair Café events, workshops, and other environmental initiatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
We know you may have questions about the changes ahead for Reimagine. Below we have tried to answer the most common questions we’ve been asked so far.
Why is the grocery store winding down? There are many reasons we are closing the store, not all of which we discuss publicly. In a nutshell, the grocery store does not work for our family any longer.
I have a product from Reimagine that I can’t live without! Can I still order it from you? We are open to bringing in specific products either as a one-off or on a subscription basis if there is enough desire. Make sure to Fill Out Our Survey to tell us if you would like to continue to purchase anything we currently sell.
Is the Refillery closing, too? We will look at offering some products as subscriptions. Please fill in the survey and we will contact folks individually. We will not have a full refillery any longer though - just select products.
Can I still buy meals? YES! We will continue our meal service. Meals will be delivered Friday afternoon or can be picked up Fridays and Saturdays.
Will you be opening again in the future? No, we will not be reopening the grocery store again.
Can I still use the Thing Library? YES! The Thing Library will still be accessible, however the hours may be reduced. Stayed tuned for more info on that.
Will you still host Repair Cafés? YES! Our partner the institute for Community Sustainability will continue to host Repair Cafes and other events and workshops, both at 206 Piccadilly St and at libraries and other locations around the city.
Will you still do events? YES! We have a lot of ideas of fun, exciting and community-focused events that we would like to hold in our space. Additionally, the event space is available for rent for all kinds of events! What about memberships? Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission through a monthly membership. We will be writing to all members soon to discuss our plans.
What do I do with my containers? We will be accepting your container returns until our final day of business. After the grocery store has closed we will no longer be accepting returns.
