I bought a pear of pairs that were perfectly ripe and a great price. I used them in a salad/slaw I call kale-fetti. Put a bunch of washed and torn kale in a food processor along with a roughly chopped pair, some nuts (I like walnuts) and pulse until you have a large, confetti-like texture. You can also include carrots, beets, sweet onion and substitute apple for pear. Toss it with pear balsamic vinegar (Pristine Olive has this) and you have a salad that satisfies mouth and tummy.
